It's Too Quiet... | An Audio Tour of Haunting Ground's Looping, Ambient, Background Sound FX

A half-hour tour of Haunting Ground's environmental sounds. Most of them... at least the ones that loop. Including (but not limited to): Lots of clocks, wind ambience, fireplaces/furnaces, water (in various forms), machinery, mysterious droning... the usual stuff. As to why some sounds may be missing, I just thought some were too rough on the ears (this is a horror game, after all), or I couldn't get the sound without background music. This video is just a little passion project inspired by others here on YT who upload video game ambience. I say "little," but this video took me a very long time to make. Some of the the footage and audio was harder to get than you might think. And getting things to loop is a bit of a pain, and I don't think I did a great job at it either. This was technically done on December 15th, but I had to reset a bit when I noticed that the "hum" from my capture card was a lot more noticeable than I thought. Honestly, it seemed unsalvageable, but!
