NAJNOWSZE TECHNOLOGIE W CIĘŻARÓWKACH - LUKSUS CZY KŁOPOT?
I remember when I bought my first computer. I did it very reluctantly, mainly because of my children, who were school-age at the time. The computer was primarily intended to facilitate my professional work. However, I knew my children would want to install games on it and then share experiences and discuss them with their peers. These were the days when online gaming was still in its infancy. Although at the time I was very opposed to the amount of time my children wanted to spend in front of the computer, today I know that buying a computer was one of the best decisions I could have made – both for them and for myself. Knowing how to use a computer, various programs, and even more complex games meant my children had no trouble finding their way in the digital world. Thanks to these skills, they also entered the job market much more easily, where technological skills have become essential. Just as I once was almost offended by technology and considered time spent in front of a computer a waste, today I see that in a rapidly changing world, a basic understanding of new technologies is practically essential. Knowing how to use them for your own needs allows you to be more independent and not completely dependent on children or others who "get it" new solutions. What's more, a wealth of knowledge is available for free these days, so there's no shortage of opportunities, only willingness. The benefits are not limited to acquiring knowledge. Learning new things stimulates the brain, develops it, and keeps it in good shape. Research shows that people who regularly learn new skills, even in old age, retain cognitive function longer and experience brain aging slower. Therefore, regardless of age, it's important to be open to new technologies and not be afraid to explore them. Time spent learning how to use a computer, phone, or new applications is not wasted—it's an investment in greater independence, development, and better functioning in a constantly changing world. ********************************************* The fact that I have a category C+E driving license is a coincidence. Why? Because it never even crossed my mind that I wanted to work as a truck driver. Life, however, presented me with a choice – you sit in this factory for years, dragging yourself along on legs that no longer wanted to carry me; you have a secure position, you work 8 hours a day and go home, you already know everything you need to know, you know the English terminology, there's no stress, a minimum but reliable salary... Or... Or you go into the completely unknown, new, even... terrifying. You never know what time you'll finish work, what time you'll get home. There will be challenges, stress, fear, anxiety, but also... excitement, curiosity, the opportunity to see more than just the walls of the factory, which I already know inside and out. And it happened. I remember that day, that moment, and the place when I said, "Okay, I'll do it!" Without support, I definitely wouldn't be here. I think I would have doubted after just a few weeks that I COULD, that I COULD. I didn't like this job. It consumed, and still consumes, a huge amount of my time. No more Category C. Hard physical work, and the money wasn't worth the sacrifices. However, today, at this moment, I consider it one of the best decisions of my life. I live and work in northern England. I've been a truck driver since 2019. I spent most of my time on local roads, driving to local distribution centers and shops. When I started working as a truck driver, I told myself right from the start that I would never, ever sleep in a truck because it wasn't for me. However, as truck driving became easier and more enjoyable, I became more eager to experience what it was like to be a camper, meaning sleeping in a truck, and with that, the opportunity arose to see new places in England and Scotland. Besides, life's too short to stand still, to miss out on the opportunity to experience something new, something that might just be what you've been searching for most of your life (which doesn't mean a truck is what I was looking for and found). It's always worth pushing your limits and expanding your comfort zone to take advantage of the opportunities LIFE brings you, while also realizing how much you're truly capable of and that limits are only in your head.
