One Second Changed EVERYTHING

I headed to the Potomac River for Toyota Series practice, and honestly, it was shaping up to be one of those weeks. I was catching fish the way I love to—flipping pads—and felt like I was putting together a solid game plan for the tournament. Then everything changed in an instant. I hit a submerged object that I never saw, and it nearly ripped my Mercury Pro XS off the back of my Phoenix. What started as a great practice quickly turned into one of the biggest setbacks I've had on the water. In this video, I take you through the crash, show the damage, and share what happened next as I scrambled to figure out if I'd even be able to compete.
