UB51: Eminence Legend BP122 8 Ohm 250W 12" Bass Guitar Speaker + Yamaha TRBX604 + Vox & Orange Amps

Eminence Legend BP122 8 Ohm 250W 12" Bass Guitar Speaker. In this video I take the Eminence Legend BP122 Bass speaker and house it in a Grossman Fatbox Isolation Cabinet. Using a Yamaha TRBX604FM Bass Guitar through a Vox AC15 Valve amplifier and an Orange Gain Baby 100 Solid State Amplifier, I'm hoping this will be the speaker that will serve my Bass guitar tonal needs in my small recording studio. The Eminence Legend BP122 8 Ohm 250W 12" Bass Guitar Speaker weighs just over 4.0kg and this particular model is reported to be tailor-made for small sealed enclosures, and considering it will be used in the Grossman Isolation Box – that is one of the reasons I choose this speaker. Who are Eminence Speakers…? An American company founded in 1966 by Kentucky based Bob Gault and recently purchased in 2023 by the Italian speaker giant B&C. Eminence speakers have quite a pedigree... look them up if your not familiar with them. For this particular test I will be using a Sennheiser MD421 (II) to mic up the speaker. The MD421 is quite a popular mic for this particular job while a more budget approach would be to use a Sure SM57, another equally popular mic to use on a Bass speaker. Enjoy...!
