Camp Mack Boat Ramp| Kissimmee River Live This is the Camp Mack boat ramp live streaming camera. Camp Mack sits on a canal off the Kissimmee River between two of the best bass fishing lakes in Florida: Lake Kissimmee and Lake Hatchineha. Camp Mack was founded 100 years ago in 1927. Prior to that, it was right next to a Second Seminole War Fort called Fort Gardiner. This Fort was burned down a few years after the Battle of Okeechobee but this land became a trade hub and steamboat stop for over 40 years until the early 1920s. Colonel Zachary Taylor, who later became a US president, was the US Army Colonel that led the Army from Fort Gardner to the Battle of Okeechobee and then returned to Fort Gardner. US President Chester Arthur was the first ever sitting President that visited Florida and he took a steamboat and went fishing down the Kissimmee River and met an Indian chief and his family named Tom Tiger at Fort Gardiner.
