Although it took a long boat ride from Incheon Port to get there, the moment I faced the wide-open Gaemeori Hill and the blue sea, all that fatigue vanished. True to its status as a pilgrimage site, many people visited, so I had to pitch my tent on a slightly slanted spot instead of the main one. However, I think Gulupdo is a place where even that becomes romantic. From walking along the refreshing ridges, to a herd of wild deer I encountered by chance, and the perfect sunset and sunrise. My 1 night and 2 days on Gulupdo left a clean vacancy, and even my steps felt light on the way back.
