Bloom's taxonomy is a set of three hierarchical models used to classify learning objectives into levels of complexity. Bloom's taxonomy assumes that learning at higher levels depends on the acquisition of knowledge and skills at certain lower levels. At the same time, it presents a global vision of the educational process, promoting a form of education with a holistic horizon. There are three dimensions in the taxonomy of educational objectives proposed by Benjamin Bloom: Affective dimension Psychomotor dimension Cognitive dimension Affective dimension The way a person reacts emotionally, their ability to feel the pain or joy of another living being. Affective objectives typically aim for awareness and growth in attitude, emotion, and feelings. There are five levels in the affective domain. Mentioning the lower-order processes to the higher-order processes, they are: Reception. The lowest level; the student passively pays attention. Without this level, learning cannot occur. Response. The student actively participates in the learning process; they not only attend to stimuli, but also react in some way. Appraisal. The student assigns a value to an object, phenomenon, or information. Organization. Students can group different values, information, and ideas and arrange them within their own framework; comparing, relating, and elaborating on what they have learned. Characterization. The student has a particular value or belief that now influences their behavior, becoming a characteristic. It is important to keep in mind that if the student is not motivated, their interest in learning is very low. Psychomotor Dimension The skill in physically manipulating a tool or instrument with the hand. The objectives of the psychomotor domain generally focus on the developed change in behavior or skills. It comprises the following levels: Perception Disposition Mechanism Complex Response Adaptation Creation Cognitive Dimension This is the ability to think about the objects of study. The objectives of the cognitive level revolve around knowledge and understanding of any given topic. There are six levels in the taxonomy proposed by Benjamin Bloom and colleagues. In ascending order, they are as follows: Knowing Shows recall of previously learned materials through recallable facts, terms, basic concepts, and responses. Knowledge of specific terminology or facts. Knowledge of the ways and means of dealing with specific conventions, trends, and sequences, classifications and categories, criteria, and methodology. Knowledge of universals and abstractions in a field: principles and generalizations, theories, and structures. Understanding Demonstrative understanding of facts and ideas through organization, comparison, translation, interpretation, and descriptions. Translation Interpretation Extrapolation Applying Using new knowledge. Solving problems in new situations by applying acquired knowledge, facts, techniques, and rules in a different way. Analyzing Examining and discriminating information, identifying reasons or causes. Making inferences and finding evidence to support generalizations. Analyzing the elements
