Technical Excursion: Patching the Bastl Kastle 1.5 Synthesizer
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A MUSIC VIDEO. IT IS A TECHNICAL DISCUSSION OF THE PATCHING OF ONE OF THE SMALL SYNTHESIZERS USED IN SOME OF MY PIECES. Som of the pieces on this YouTube channel, especially ‘Spectral Palace D’ and ‘Branchings: 2nd Interlude’, make use of the Bastl Kastle 1.5, a miniature modular synthesizer. Some people have asked me about my approach to patching that instrument, so in this video I present some insights and ideas in this regard.
