Costa Cruises - time to try something NEW!... Costa Diadema - Vlog 1: Embarkation in Barcelona!

Welcome to my latest vlog series, and this time we’ve got a number of FIRSTS to experience together, which I’m SO excited about! Not only is this my first time cruising out of Barcelona cruise terminal on embarkation day, but it’s also my first time EVER cruising with Costa Cruises. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be cruising on this ship (Costa Diadema) and two other ships (Costa Toscana and Costa Smeralda) as part of my ‘year at sea’, where I’m spending most of 2023 living primarily on cruise ships as a passenger. In this episode, it’s time to embark Costa Diadema, a Dream-class cruise ship operated by Costa Cruises, which is part of the Carnival Corporation of cruise lines. This ship launched back in 2013, and has a much more ‘traditional’ style than their newer ships, so I’m really excited to show you around in this series! Over this cruise (which was 2 weeks long), we’ll be exploring parts of Italy, France and Spain together, in addition to then sailing past Gibraltar and heading out to the Canary Islands and also Madeira, part of Portugal!
