I've Been Doing This Wrong (Reverse Hive Splits!)

For two years now, I've been splitting my hives wrong. Well, not entirely "wrong", but there is a better way! In this video I demonstrate reverse splits, where I take the queen out of the main hive and put her into a resource hive (double nuc) box. This leaves the original hive filled with resources and a strong population to make a new queen and puts the queen into a confined space where she can start laying immediately.
