We are Anna and Julián, an international couple living in Russia and showing life from the inside, without filters. Today we are bringing a little piece of Argentina to my Russian in-laws’ dacha to celebrate a very special day: July 9th, Argentina’s Independence Day 🇦🇷🇷🇺 To celebrate this tradition far away from our home country, we decided to prepare one of the most loved Argentine dishes: fried Argentine empanadas and tortas fritas to enjoy with mate. In this video, we cook at my Russian in-laws’ countryside house, use the traditional Russian kazan and mangal, prepare the filling with meat, onions and vegetables, make the famous empanada fold and share a very special moment together as a family. 🇦🇷🎶Of course, Argentine music could not be missing: we sing and dance Argentine folklore right in the middle of a Russian dacha, bringing even more of our roots and culture all the way to Russia. Because for us, sharing Argentina is not only about cooking Argentine food, but also about showing our songs, our dances and those traditions that have been part of our lives forever.
