Vitesse lost the away match at PEC Zwolle 4-3. The Arnhem side came up short after a crazy final phase in which no fewer than three goals were scored. At half-time, Vitesse still led 1-2, following goals from Tim Matavž and Oussama Tannane. Gustavo Hamer had earlier given the home team the lead. In the closing stages, PEC turned the game around through Kenneth Paal and Reza Ghoochannejhad. It didn't stop there, as in the final minutes Tannane equalized with his second goal of the evening, but Pelle Clement secured the victory for PEC Zwolle.
