No fim de semana que antecede o dia de Carnaval sai à rua o cortejo tradicional de matrafonas, na aldeia de Avecasta, acompanhado pelos bumbas e charangas. Documentário elaborado durante a recolha de informações sobre o entrudo, para o livro "Tradições populares do concelho de Ferreira do Zêzere" da coleção "Etnografia, Tradiçõe e Saberes do Concelho de Ferreira do Zêzere", uma iniciativa da Fundação Maria Dias Ferreira e da Câmara Municipal de Ferreira do Zêzere.
