Established in 1949, DMET has served as the pioneer of maritime education and training in India, since its inception. this institute through its well-trained faculties, cutting-edge equipment, the largest maritime workshop in Asia, and a state-of-the-art simulator system has maintained its position at the upper echelon of the maritime industry. DMET's alumni network boasts of not only maritime industry stalwarts but also, bureaucrats, administrators, entrepreneurs, and bankers all of whom have paved a path for the new generation of India to follow.
