When Sandeep started learning about birds in depth, he saw that humans have caused a lot of damage to birds due to their ignorance. Due to human negligence, the existence of many birds including sparrows, parrots and owls was threatened in Punjab. Sandeep started installing artificial nest boxes and trees for the birds. In the last 15 years, Sandeep has planted more than fifteen thousand trees and about 35 thousand artificial nest boxes. Due to the efforts of Sandeep and his team, the population of endangered birds has increased significantly. Many other youths in Punjab are taking inspiration from Sandeep and are working for the rehabilitation of birds in their respective areas.
