On the beach of the Es Trenc nature reserve, demonstrators formed a human chain in the sea stretching approximately two kilometers. According to the organizers, thousands participated in the action. The demonstrators demanded greater protection for all nature reserves in Mallorca. They also protested against a planned relaxation of the regulations for nature reserves and against the tourism model in the Balearic Islands. The organizers announced another large demonstration for the end of July.
