Ifeku Accuses, Anegbette Responds: Who Owns the Land? Edo State Land Dispute

A group of leaders from the Ifeku community in Edo State have brought a complaint against their neighboring Anegbette community, alleging that their ancestral land was seized. According to the Ifeku leaders, they have spent many years pursuing the matter through legal channels and political leaders, but all efforts failed to resolve the dispute. Left with no option, they brought the matter to Brekete Family, seeking intervention and dialogue. In response, the Anegbette community leaders were invited to the studio to present their own side of the story. During the engagement, both communities presented documents and evidence, each insisting that the disputed land rightfully belongs to them. After listening to both parties and reviewing the claims, the Ordinary President decided that the matter should be moved to mediation, to allow for peaceful resolution and mutual understanding. The goal remains clear: peace, justice, and coexistence.
