“The Church has many tools to help a young person find God. For example, retreats that stop a person and can somehow unexpectedly show that God is here, even in the midst of war and suffering. Yuriy Pidlisny, head of the Department of Political Science at the Ukrainian Catholic University, lecturer and head of the Ethics-Politics-Economics program. Yuriy has been working at the university for almost 28 years, since the restoration of the LBA-UCU. Yuriy Pidlisny grew up in a Christian family, his grandmother and mother had the greatest influence on him. During his student years, he was an active member of the Student Brotherhood and took part in the Revolution on Granite. He conducted educational events in the central and eastern regions of Ukraine. He revived the activities of the Society of Ukrainian Catholic Students “Obnova”. He headed the UGCC Commission for Laity Affairs, was a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council, where he headed the commission on education and science.
