Can I Save This £25 Olympic Vintage Diver Watch?

In this episode of my budget vintage watch restoration series, I take on a forgotten £25 Olympic vintage dive watch from the 1970s and attempt to bring it back to life without spending a fortune. Inside this watch is the manual wind Jeambrun PS31 17-jewel movement, but as with many old mechanical watches, the journey was far from straightforward. What looked like a simple restoration quickly turned into a challenge, with unexpected issues appearing at every stage of the repair. The goal of this series is to show that you don't need expensive luxury watches to enjoy the hobby of watch collecting and restoration. Cheap vintage mechanical watches can still deliver real challenges, valuable learning experiences, and the satisfaction that comes from solving problems and bringing old timepieces back from the brink. Can this neglected Olympic diver be saved... and can it be done while keeping costs to an absolute minimum?
