Nowadays, in Türkiye, physicians from two specialties are sufficient to establish the diagnosis. One must be an anesthesiologist or intensivist, and the other must be either a neurologist or a neurosurgeon. In pediatric patients, pediatric intensive care specialists and pediatric neurologists are also involved. The regulations are highly detailed and are continuously updated.
