A janky, broken mess of a campaign - Red Hammer for Arma 3

Originally an expansion for Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, the Red Hammer campaign has you play as the opposing forces, the soviets, as they seek to take the neutral island of Everon by force. And fail miserably, because it takes place parallel to the previous campaign and their fate is already predetermined. While it might sound interesting to play as "the bad guys", this ported version of it in ArmA 3 has been abandoned since 2022. With no updates, its missions, notably the AI, are not in good shape. This video is my playthrough of it, minus the one mission that's literally impossible due to being bugged. Despite its messy state, the campaign is playable: the mission objectives function as they should even without the AI's help, and the cutscenes are probably the best part of this modded campaign. The later missions also don't saddle you with friendly AI outside of your command, so you can mitigate the jank as long as you get past the early missions. Still, I wouldn't recommend playing it yourself as of right now. This is a direct recreation just like Cold War Rearmed - Cold War Crisis, so the mission design is straight from 2002. The story being told is interesting, but I feel that overall this is a weaker campaign in terms of gameplay. Its high difficulty coupled with its repetitive missions makes for a rather unsatisfying campaign.
