That morning, the mountains were still asleep under a thin veil of mist. The road twisted like a forgotten path from another century, leading me to a forest that time itself seemed to have abandoned. I learned to recognize edible mushrooms since childhood, so I carefully chose only the best ones. I walked through the woods, guided only by instinct and the soft whisper of the wind among the trees. My basket grew heavy, while the sun — once pale — now painted the forest in gold. It felt as if nature herself was rewarding patience with abundance. By the end of the day, the path back seemed longer, yet lighter.
