Obstetric Violence in Australia: National Survey Data, Birth Trauma & Systemic Reform | JEPS Seminar
Dr. Hazel Keedle (Western Sydney University) presents findings from a 2021 national survey of 626 Australian women detailing mistreatment during childbirth. Data revealed themes of dehumanization, violation, and powerlessness — including non-consented vaginal examinations.
