Spotlight on Child Welfare System Involvement During Childhood & Young Adult Health & Mental Health

Experts highlighted research from the Future of Families and Child Wellbeing Study sharing new findings on childhood involvement in the child welfare system and the health outcomes of young adults at age 22. Moderated by Jane Waldfogel (Columbia University School of Social Work), this panel featured Lawrence Berger (University of Wisconsin-Madison) and Tia Dickerson (Columbia Population Research Center) with commentary from youth advocates Cadon Sagendorf and Yusef Presley Jr. . (National Collaborative for Transformative Youth Policy) who brought lived expertise and policy perspectives to the conversation.
