NSTRA Pointing Dog Trial

2021 dog trial with the National Shoot to Retrieve Association. These world renowned trials for pointer breeds are held across the country each year. This particular trial was sponsored by the Utah chapter in 2021. The best pointing dogs from the region and beyond come together to compete. Dogs compete in groups of two. 5 bobwhite quail have been released in the field and the 2 dogs compete to find, point, shoot, and retrieve them as quickly and as stylishly as possible. They are scored on each find and retrieve as well as obedience, ground coverage, and backing. At the end of the trial, the dog with the highest score is declared winner.
