Chiquititas is a Mexican children's fantasy telenovela produced by Azteca Digital in collaboration with Telefe for TV Azteca in 1999. The telenovela is a version of the Argentine series of the same name created by Cris Morena, adapted for Mexican audiences by Morena herself and Horacio Marshall. It premiered on Azteca 7 from January 4, 1999, to February 29, 1999, airing Monday through Friday at 7:00 PM (after three weeks it moved to the 4:50 PM timeslot). Originally, 60-90 episodes were filmed, but only 40 were broadcast before its sudden cancellation. It stars Ana Serradilla and Fabián Corres, along with a large ensemble cast of children and adults.
