In 2022, soldiers from The Royal Newfoundland Regiment travelled to Gallipoli to take part in the unveiling of the final Caribou in the Trail of the Caribou, a series of 5 monuments dedicated to the sacrifices of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment during the first world war.
