POV - Arashiyama, Bamboo Forrest, Otagi Nenbutsuji

Esta visita me deja dividido, porque no sé si mi lugar favorito de este viaje es Hida o Arashiyama. Son destinos muy diferentes entre sí, pero al menos hasta este punto del viaje, mi corazón se quedó en Arashiyama. Comenzamos el recorrido en el templo Otagi Nenbutsu-ji, que para mí fue el templo budista más hermoso de todo el viaje. Desde allí descendimos por Saga Toriimoto, atravesamos el Bosque de Bambú de Arashiyama y caminamos hasta el río Katsura, donde, ya completamente cansados, dimos por terminado el recorrido. Si planeas visitar esta zona, recomiendo hacer el recorrido en el mismo sentido que nosotros: tomar un taxi hasta Otagi Nenbutsu-ji y caminar de regreso. El trayecto desde el bosque hacia los templos es mayormente en subida, mientras que de esta forma disfrutarás casi todo el camino cuesta abajo. -------------------------------------- This visit leaves me torn because I can't decide whether my favorite place on this trip is Hida or Arashiyama. They're completely different destinations, but at least up to this point in the journey, my heart belongs to Arashiyama. We started our day at Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple, which was, in my opinion, the most beautiful Buddhist temple of the entire trip. From there, we walked down through Saga Toriimoto, continued to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and finally reached the Katsura River, where, completely exhausted, we wrapped up our visit. If you're planning to visit this area, I highly recommend following the same route we did: take a taxi to Otagi Nenbutsu-ji and walk back. The route from the bamboo grove up to the temples is mostly uphill, while this direction lets you enjoy almost the entire walk downhill.
