My MGB V6 Is Finished — Now I Can Finally Enjoy It!
The Jaguar powered MGB V6 is finished. The MGB V6 is back at HJRgarage — but this time, it’s not about fixing problems or chasing issues. The car is finally finished, and in this episode I get to enjoy it properly for the first time. After months of building, tuning, and refining the MG, I start this episode with a couple of small jobs to tidy things up. Nothing major — just the last few bits that make the car feel complete. I fit the new MGB rear leaf springs, give the car a clean, fit a MGB bonnet gas strut kit and sort a few minor details that have been on the list. With those jobs done, it’s time to actually use the car. I take the MGB out for a proper drive, get some miles on it, and head to a couple of shows where people can finally see the V6 swap in person. The car performs brilliantly, and it’s great to enjoy it as a finished machine rather than a project. It’s a completely different feeling driving a car you’ve built from the ground up, and this episode is all about that — appreciating the MG for what it’s become after all the work that’s gone into it. Thanks again for all the support throughout this build — it’s been class seeing how many people have followed the MGB V6 journey from start to finish.
