Making a CyberTruck out of a CyberTruck

After my Handgun Vs CyberTruck test I wanted to cut out a mini CyberTruck and fold it like paper craft. Thanks to my friends Alex and Freddy for making this a reality. This project started a year ago after the handgun test. I found a simple papercraft model of a CyberTruck that could be easily redesigned for sheet metal. That’s where my friend Alex helped make the Vector drawing. The problem was finding someone local to cut the CyberTruck door. Just a few weeks ago I met Freddy of KwikFab. He has a CNC Plasma Table and a CNC Press Brake. I had planned the design so that I might be able to bend the metal by hand. However I underestimate how hard the stainless steel is in the CyberTruck door skin. I still have more planned but we are taking our time. Ordered some new parts for the press brake to make folding it easier, and going to laser engrave some aesthetic parts to the mini CyberTruck like the wheels/tires, fenders and trim below the doors. I would like to engrave the CyberTruck logo on the tailgate but I’m not sure if the laser engraver can fit such a tall object. This is 12” long.
