Marella Explorer 2 | Poema del Mar Aquarium | Gran Canaria | Final Thoughts | Canarian Flavours 2026

Hi everyone, In this week's #marellacruises vlog we arrive into Gran Canaria, our final port. Disembarkation days are always so sad but we made the best of it! We said goodbye to our cabin and went to Indigo Club to leave our hand luggage so we could explore. We had breakfast at the Beach Cove, it's a great quick breakfast option and we ate on the pool deck. When we left the ship we saw an aquarium, this didn't open until later so we had an explorer around Las Palmas, #grancanaria along the beach front and saw where the Carnival activities would be taking place. It was then time to go to #poemadelmar, we didn't know what to expect but it looked impressive from the pictures around it. We LOVED it here, we spent at least 2 hours looking around, seeing so many different types of animals. Some we had never seen before and some we had never even heard of before such as the impressive Sea Dragon. It was an incredible experience, so worth the money so much to see. Definitely recommend getting there early as it does get very busy. The best aquarium we have ever been to. It was then time to get back to the ship, we picked up our hand luggage and had our last meal at the snack shack. We then gave our final initial thoughts before we had to disembark. We will be doing a full ship review soon like we have done with other cruises we have done so far. We had an amazing time this cruise and it was very difficult to leave.
