A Koala Comes to Visit, Asparagus Bed & Swale Trees Down | Diary of a Permaculture Gardener Ep 31
I start off in my veggie patch dealing once again with slugs. My attention is suddenly drawn to movement in the nearby trees - a local koala has come for a visit. A bit of a distraction but nice to watch and see what he was up to. Back to the garden and we continue in my asparagus bed. Once a year I deal with weeds, chop down the ferns and spread around some compost. This job always takes longer than I anticipate! I had been hoping to get out to the swale that same day but turns out it was the next day. I use my new tool to cut down a couple of trees in my swale. While difficult for me to use at the moment, I'm sure practice will make perfect , or my muscles may develop a bit more to help! Slowly transforming my swales is very satisfying.
