Cancer Update #12 https://gofund.me/6357a4c42

Hi everyone, Robert here with a check-in after some time away. The cancer that was inside my left eye has been completely removed along with the eye itself. At this stage, the biggest concern is no longer the eye — it’s the risk of the cancer spreading elsewhere. My first CT scan with contrast was clear, which was good news. My first MRI is scheduled for June 30. MRIs can detect smaller cancers than CT scans, so I’m really hoping that turns out well. This is an aggressive cancer with roughly a 50/50 chance of metastasizing within three years, which is why I’m advocating for quarterly MRIs. I’m doing okay — driving is still a bit challenging, but I’m back to part-time work, getting to the gym, and caring for my 90-year-old mom. We’ve raised over $10,000 so far — thank you. That’s covering my $6,993.52 in out-of-pocket costs so far. I haven’t received new bills recently, but I’m concerned more could still come, especially with travel to my specialist appointment in Philadelphia on July 14. That trip is expected to cost around $2,000. I’ll apply for a grant from the Eye on Grace Foundation, but it won’t cover everything. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for continuing this journey with me #gofundme #cáncer #ocularmelanoma
