After graduating with honors from the Cuneo Conservatory, he won the major international guitar awards, the âYepesâ Competition in Sanremo, the âSorâ in Rome, the International Music Tournament in Rome twice, the âDe Bonisâ in Cosenza and the prestigious âAndrĂ©s Segoviaâ in Granada. He won two Golden Guitars for best album: in 2003 with TĂĄrrega: Complete Works for Guitar and in 2018 for the album Castelnuovo-Tedesco: Complete Works for Soprano and Guitar. He performs regularly in Europe, Asia and the United States as a soloist and with orchestra. His impressive discography includes CDs dedicated to the Italian twentieth century, the complete works for solo guitar by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Rodrigoâs Concierto de Aranjuez, Angelo Gilardinoâs, Giulianiâs Sei Rossiniane, Castelnuovo-Tedescoâs Concerto n. 1, Quintet and Romancero Gitano, and five complete works: TĂĄrrega, Llobet, Matiegka, Legnani and Villa-Lobos. He is guitar professor at the Donizetti Conservatory in Bergamo Italy and at the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola âIncontri con il Maestroâ, and he holds highly popular masterclasses in Italy, Europe, Asia and America. He is a DâAddario artist and plays guitars by luthier Philip Woodfield.
