As MG was now part of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) alongside many other automakers, the MG A used the corporate B-series engine originally developed by Austin. But, in 1959 the MG A received a number of upgrades such as 1588cc version, alongside standard front disc brakes. And 1961 brought a bit more displacement to the MkII MG A, up to 1622cc. Plus the rarity of it being a true hardtop coupe takes it to a whole other level of rarity and class.
