There has been a slight noise in our 1.3 TCE Renault Megane since the day we bought it. It had covered 46,000 km when we bought it. We then took it to the service and pointed out this noise. At first, I suspected the alternator. Sometimes the bearings in the group to which the V-belt is attached deteriorate over time and can make such noises. However, since this was the first time we bought a 1.3 TCE vehicle, we took it to the service and they said that the first part that could break was the water pump, but this water pump was working properly. They said there was no stretch in the bolts, no problem, use it. After 4000 km, when the noise from the car increased, our mechanic removed the water pump and when we turned it by hand, you can feel it turning and sticking, he said that the bearing inside was broken. Our mechanic immediately asked for the original and had it replaced. Our car's mileage when the problem occurred was around 50,800. Please pay attention to these mileage limits.
