Jackson Browne and Steve Earle, "Cocaine Blues" (Town Hall, NYC, 2015)
There are many songs named "Cocaine Blues"; this is a take with additional verses on the Reverend Gary Davis's 8-bar blues song which Davis claimed to have learned pre-World War I. Jackson Browne recorded the song on 1977's Running on Empty and his version owed much to Dave Van Ronk and Hoyt Axton c. 1963. This performance at Town Hall, 123 W. 43rd Street, NYC, on 14 December 2015, for John Henry's Friends: The First Annual concert Benefiting the Keswell School for Autism. This was Jackson Browne's first Town Hall performance.
