It will effectively clean pipelines at speeds of 6 to 10 mph, while the natural gas velocity in the pipeline continues to flow at normal rates of 15 to 35 mph. By using the Speed Control Pig, there is no need to sacrifice reliable gas delivery to the downstream client base or losing transportation revenue by reducing normal gas flow volumes or gas velocity. This animation demonstrates how the Speed Control Pig regulates it's speed when passing through inputs and outputs throughout the pipeline.
