Thessaloniki to Athens by train Amazing scenery!

Claire and Paulo travel to Athens from Thessaloniki by train which takes 5 hours to complete. When planning their trip they were considering taking the coach but decided to take the train instead. They did not regret this decision one bit as the trains were very modern, comfortable and were only about a third full. The most impressive thing about this journey was the amazing scenery with majestic farming valleys and towering mountains. If you do not speak Greek the stations and information is easy to understand and the staff are very helpful. We strongly recommend doing this journey by train so sit back, relax and enjoy some of the best scenery you have ever seen
