Léo Ferré en Italie: Muss es sein es muss sein 1° part. Vidéo de Maria Teresa de Vito

Léo Ferré, an anarchist singer-songwriter, poet, writer, and conductor, is one of the most representative figures in the history of French song for his musical settings of classical and contemporary poems. He bequeathed to us a legacy of over 500 songs, poems, and symphonies, as well as a literary oeuvre including essays and novels. "After Ferré, we will have to rewrite the history of French literature differently," Louis Aragon once said. Mario Macario, writer and director, sheds light on the role of poetry in Léo Ferré's artistic activity, which included setting to music the works of Rutebeuf, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, and Apollinaire, as well as Italian poems by Cesare Pavese and Giovanni Testori. Since 1970, Léo lived in Castellina in Chianti in a Tuscan villa with his wife and sons. This video is taken from the documentary I made for RaiDoc. The interview was filmed in San Benedetto del Tronto during the Ferré Festival, which takes place there every year. The documentary, lasting 55 minutes, is made up of testimonies from Enrico Medail, singer, translator and brotherly friend of Léo, Xavier Ribalta, Catalan singer, and Francesco Guccini, with the participation of the Ferré family and especially his daughter Marie Cécile, who generously helped with its production. Léo Ferré, songwriter, poet, novelist, orchestral director, anarchist, recorded the mass of poetry expressed in music and presented an artistic heritage immenso tra canzoni (other 500), poetry, sinfonia, opera, saggi and romance. “Care to write the story of letters in a different way a cause of Léo Ferré.” Disse un giorno il poeta Aragon. Da vent'anni viveva in Toscana a Castellina in Chianti con la moglie e i figli. The video is from the document that was created by RAIDOC. Mario Macario, writer and registrant, spoke of the importance of Ferrè's poetry of his songs and music: Rutebeuf, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Apollinaire and Cesare Pavese and Giovanni Testori. The interview is still going to San Benedetto del Tronto during the Ferré Festival which is all year round. The document of the duration of 55' is based on the testimony of Enrico Medail, singer, translator and fraternal friend of Léo Ferré and the consul of the Ferré family, in particular of Marie Cécile, second author of Ferrè who collaborated with the creation of the document.
