Making Big Bore Aluminum Cylinder Air Deflectors for Corvair
Deflecting air is a challenging task, but these air deflectors should be up to the task no matter the circumstances. It's very important that the cylinders are cooled by the air from the fan, and the only way to do that is by deflecting the air, passing through the sides of the cylinders, into the bottom fins. Thanks for watching. I hope you learned something about air deflectors or about aluminum cylinders, because I know I sure did. All of the cylinders are nikasil-coated after being machined, allowing them to work with steel rings.
