Phaistos Palace | Minoan Origins in Crete 1900 BC and the Mysterious Disc | Megalithomania

An exploration of the Minoan Palace of ancient Megalonissos (Crete) where the enigmatic Phaistos Disc was discovered. The palace dates to as early as 1900 BC, but the sacred hill was occupied since 4000 BC. It has rock-cut features and megalithic construction at its earliest levels. Hugh Newman takes you on a journey around the site which features 'archive rooms', royal residencies, a sacrificial table, the theatrical area, sacred water features and much more. Hugh, along with Jj Ainsworth also find evidence of the Linear A and Linear B language found carved in rocks at the site, the same undeciphered language as found on the Phaistos Disc.
