Transport Canada Drone NPA 2026-06: Remote ID & Major Changes Incoming!

Transport Canada just dropped NPA 2026-06 — the second proposed major set of changes to Canadian drone regulations since Part IX came into force. In this video I break down exactly what's being proposed, what it means for your flying, and what the timeline looks like. We cover all three pillars of the proposal: Remote ID requirements for drones 250g to 150kg, the new Community-Based Organization (CBO) model that could let clubs fly under their own (relaxed?) rules at fixed sites, and the new Designated RPAS Airspace system that replaces the outdated Section 5.1 process with real-time digital geo-zones. If you fly recreationally, commercially, or operate a drone club in Canada — this affects you. Document Reference - https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/...
