The Hill That Broke Me | Southampton Common Parkrun POV

They say Parkrun is a "run, not a race," but tell that to my watch. Today I went to Southampton Common to chase down my PB In this 25-minute POV, I take you through every breath of the 5km course—from the easy social start to the brutal hill at KM 3 that forced a tactical walk break, and finally to the sprint finish While the clock said 23:54, the data tells a different story. Since I started this training block, I’ve seen some massive health shifts: Resting HR: Dropped from 65 bpm to 53 bpm. VO2 Max: Hit a new peak of 48.7. Fitness Age: Garmin says I’m 32.9 (I’m 37!). Weight: BMI down to 24.17. A Huge Shoutout: A massive thank you to the 77 volunteers at Southampton Common today. From the timekeepers to the barcode scanners, you lot are absolute legends. 0:00 - Intro 1:03 - The Start 4:00 - Finding the Rhythm 11:50 - The Hill (The Moment it Went Wrong) 12:46 - The Tactical Reset 24:08 - The 169 BPM Finish 24:47 - Results
