There are plenty that bare the title, but there was one odd, little band from Inland Empire, California that took the world by storm—almost. The Unforgiven never actually had a single hit. The concept of lead singer Steve "John Henry" Jones, the Unforgiven never got much beyond a concept. But they had their brief blaze of glory. The band founds its origins in Eastcoast punk, but, for a moment, it rose far above that. The Unforgiven were "The Next Big Thing", until they weren't. Yet, a cowboy never calls it quits.
