I Made a Wooden Chair with No Straight Lines | CNC Woodworking

A sculptural solid wood chair made with CNC woodworking, hand refinement, oil finishing, and upholstery. In this video, I make a wooden chair with no straight lines, following the full process from 3D modeling and seating mockups to CNC machining, hand shaping, finishing, and upholstery. Inspired by the confident stride of runway models and the balanced poise of ballerinas, I wanted to turn a sense of movement, tension, and balance into a structure you can actually sit in. Subtitles are available for this video. I recommend turning them on to follow the design process, CNC machining, handwork, and finishing notes. ________________________________ Chapter 00:00 Intro 00:36 Design Overview 01:51 Comfort Mockup 08:36 Solid Wood Frame Design 09:56 Preparing the Wood 14:40 CNC Machining 18:46 Part Cleanup & Dry Fit 22:45 Frame Assembly 26:33 Seat Bending 28:40 Frame Sanding 30:55 Oil Finishing 32:45 Seat Upholstery 40:50 Final Assembly 41:53 Finished Chair ________________________________ Contact ▸email: [email protected] ▸instagram:   / viepis_official   ▸designer:   / choi_doyoung_   ▸website: https://viepis.co.kr ________________________________ #woodworking #cnc #chair #furnituredesign #craftsmanship #build #armchair #maker #design
