Review: Vostok Electronics Lap Timing System decoder: Part 3 - Testing

In this video I review my experience with using the the Vostok Electronics lap timing system decoder model: ID010 at 2 race events. Event 1) Club race: The timing system proved to be very sensitive, picking up cars 3 feet before the loop. We tested with the vostok house transponders, AMBrc transponders, and Mylaps Hybrid transponders and all worked perfectly. Event 2) Regional Event: We used the decoder at a medium sized regional event with about 30 registered racers. We has racers using the Vostok brand transponders, the AmbRC transponders, MyLaps Hybrid, and MRt transponders. We found again the decoder to be very sensitive and would pick up a transponder at least 3 feet before the counting loop. We did find a slight issue with one of the MRT transponders where the decoder would pick up a different transponder number. We since learned there are 2 numbers in an MRT transponder and somehow this transponder was broadcasting both numbers. All other transponders, including other MRT, worked perfectly. This is a mylaps compatible timing system and Livetime lap counting software.
