Four years have passed since the release of their 2021 blues cover album TIME MACHINE, and now their long-awaited full original album Flowin’ is finally complete. The album transcends traditional blues, evolving into funk, and ultimately delivering a unique blend of boogie blues funk and mellow soul that only The Bluestones can offer. Fronted by Momiji Okubo — a vocalist and harmonica prodigy who made her debut in middle school and a member of Wang Dang Doodle. On saxophone is Sara Maeda, a powerhouse musician rooted in gospel who has also played with Atsuki Kimura’s band. The rhythm section — Tomoyasu Takeuchi (ex-SUPER BUTTER DOG), Tomohiko Ohkanda, and Yoshihisa Shirane — are true groove masters holding down Japan’s dance music scene. With these five in the mix, the band’s got a lineup that’s straight-up unstoppable. Momiji & The Bluestonesは結成2019年。ブルースセッションバンドとして活動開始。 2021年リリースのブルースカヴァーアルバム『TIME MACHINE』から4年を経て、遂に今回のフルオリジナルアルバム『Flowin’』が完成。 ブルースからファンクへと昇華し、さらにはブルーストーンズにしか成し得ないブギーブルースファンク、さらにはメローソウルまで聴かせてくれる作品に仕上がった。 メインを務める大久保紅葉はヴォーカリスト、ハーピストとして中学生でデビューを果たしており、現在はWang Dang Doodleでも活動中。またサックスを務める前田サラはゴスペルをルーツに持ち、木村充揮のバンドにも参加するほどの実力者。リズムセクションの竹内朋康 (ex.SUPER BUTTER DOG)、大神田智彦、白根佳尚は日本のダンスミュージック界を支える強者。このような５人で固められた最強の布陣のバンドである。 Momiji & The Bluestonesは世界中からのオファーを待っています。
