This is a VHS home video transfer of a family trip to Universal Studios Hollywood in 1989. Featured: • Conan the Barbarian character performer (Richard Brose) • Full Miami Vice Action Spectacular show, which ran from 1987–1995 and replaced by WaterWorld • Battle of Galactica (Battlestar Galactica), which ran from 1972–1992 • Studio Tour tram ride-through • Six Points Texas section of the historic backlot set, composed of six Western-style streets that converge at a single intersection. • Portions of the Backlot including Brownstone Street and Alley • King Kong Encounter featuring the legendary animatronic Kong and New York City setting with falling helicopter • Special Effects Stage presented by Eastman Kodak Company (Stages 30 & 32) in the lower lot area. • Special Effects Stage with levitating bicycle effect from Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial • Special Effects Stage "2010 Space Walk," which ran from 1984–1990. It allowed two audience members to be filmed against a blue screen portraying the zero-gravity spacewalk from the sci-fi film 2010: The Year We Make Contact. • JAWS • The Collapsing Bridge • Earthquake subway station • Flash Flood • Parting of the Red Sea (inspired by The Ten Commandments) • The original Glacier Avalanche tunnel (ran from 1975–1997), inspired by the 1975 Clint Eastwood film The Eiger Sanction.
