He was born with severe hearing loss (in both ears), and with cochlear implants, his hearing is 20-25db. Without the implants, he can't hear at all. Our family primarily communicates through oral communication. The sign language used in the videos is supplementary, and it's a simplified version we've been using since kindergarten. Since we originally lived in the Tohoku region, the sign language may differ slightly from the original due to regional differences. The channel doesn't focus primarily on deafness or sign language, but instead features daily life, travel, and vlogs.
